Who are the people behind Dimehouse?
In 2008, owner Vincent Kleine started importing furniture for friends and acquaintances with his study friend Yuechang Wu, who came from Shanghai to the Netherlands for studies. Wu graduated in Logistics Management in the Netherlands and Vincent in Marketing. Eventually, Wu lived in the Netherlands for over 15 years and gained experience at companies like Unilever before permanently moving back to China to set up his own production for the furniture (2018).
Vincent Kleine started the company in 2008 and is the owner of several companies in the furniture industry. He graduated as a Marketer in 2008 and started his entrepreneurial journey during his studies. Besides being the owner of Dimehouse, Vincent has always been very active in foundations and associations. Currently, he is the chairman of the football club CVV Germanicus from Coevorden in his free time.
Yuechang Wu is our partner in China and has studied and worked in the Netherlands for over 15 years before returning to China to set up his own factory with Vincent. Yuechang has developed a fondness for the Netherlands, which is why he still has a second apartment in The Hague.
Dimehouse is also supported by five investors, including Grehamer Invest from Apeldoorn.
From student idea to European furniture brand
What started as a small-scale import idea between two study friends has grown into a leading furniture brand in Europe. Wu, who graduated in logistics and was formerly employed at companies like Unilever, decided to return to China to establish a furniture factory together with Vincent. This laid the foundation for the unique price-quality ratio for which Dimehouse is known.
In the early years, we sold a lot through deal websites like Groupon and newspapers such as De Telegraaf under the label Vince Design. In the following years, the company developed at a rapid pace and designed an increasingly broader range of mainly seating furniture. We have produced many custom models for retailers and online giants.

E-commerce
Despite having hundreds of international customers who purchased and sold our furniture, we were convinced to also deliver directly to the consumer. We started this in 2015 under a different label; Labelwise B.V. with the successful webshop Livin24.com. This label also has a beautiful showroom in Amersfoort and has a different positioning than Dimehouse. -
Stores
In addition, we experimented with stores from 2015 to 2018. We started the label City Interiors with stores in Groningen, Zwolle, and Emmen. This label was adjusted in 2018 to Dimehouse, where the webshop was combined with small stores. Thus, Dimehouse also had stores in Eindhoven, Delfgauw, Bussum, and Enschede.

Our own factory
In 2018, Vincent and Wu decided to open their own factory in Gaobeidian. In this northern Chinese city, we had the opportunity to take over a team of people with experience in metalwork and upholstery. Ultimately, we moved the factory eastward to Langfang, so we could be closer to the suppliers. Having our own production location has ensured that we achieved over 100% to 150% growth year on year.

With our own factory in China, and with Wu at the helm, we have great control over quality. Wu speaks our language, he understands when we talk about quality, and he knows the Netherlands and our culture like no one else.
We distinguish ourselves, despite the very affordable price, by providing more quality in our seating furniture than the competition:
- Extra sturdy frames with double walls, see for example our chair Kuba in the drawing above. This quality is not visible to the eye, but it ensures that you as a customer will never sink through these chairs.
- Instead of a wooden inner frame, we have had a plastic shell cast for several models so that the chair is unbreakable. For example, for the models Beau and Barry
- The weight capacity of chairs is often 100kg, we test all chairs at 140 - 160kg. In our factory, we have a machine that puts the chair under heavy pressure, simulating 40,000 sitting hours.
- Our artificial leather is a proprietary fabric. We know from experience that this fabric, under normal use, lasts at least ten years.
